We are excited to share that our Yorkville III project, located at 140 Yorkville Avenue, was featured in a recent Urban Toronto article. With our latest development plans unveiled in a rezoning application submitted to the City of Toronto last week, Urban Toronto took the opportunity to walk its readers down memory lane, looking back at the property’s journey over the past eight years to present.
Greybrook’s relationship with this site at the northeast corner of Avenue Road and Yorkville Avenue originally began when we acquired it with then partner Empire Communities back in December 2013. Jumping ahead to today, our newest development plans, as seen in our current application, will transform the site into a 29-storey ultra-luxury, mixed-use retail and residential building. We are excited to develop what we believe will be a landmark development at this prominent corner of the iconic Yorkville neighbourhood alongside our partners, First Capital REIT. As one of Yorkville’s largest landowners, property managers, and retail developers, First Capital REIT holds an extensive portfolio of assets in the area including the site’s adjacent Yorkville Village. Greybrook and First Capital REIT are partners on another nearby development, 101 Yorkville Avenue, which is currently in the planning stage of its development.
